Sunday snacking at Sigmund’s Pretzels! I forgot how much the individual items were… The total was $13 in the top photo. I only remember the smaller, unique pretzels go for $3 each and they come with one dip. The one here is gruyere & paprika (yum). The “über”-sized pretzel is plain and it comes with two dips. From left to right, the dips are whole grain mustard, herb goat cheese, and honey mustard. They were nice combos as dips — I have to give them credit on having a nice variety. Our noshings were paired with Boylan sodas and eventually pumpkin ales, which were rather insipid…Those particular beers were a dud, but I highly recommend this pretzel shop. A lady by the name of Elena knows how to run the place. So far it seems to be on the down-low from locals; part of me hopes it stays that way and part of me hopes it gets the attention it deserves.

An amateur's food journal that
mostly covers NYC.

I'm no expert in the culinary arts, but like anyone else, I have a thing for food.

This page is a tribute to any restaurant eats worth mentioning. Some are tagged as "home eats" that were whipped up at a home kitchen.
